Artist Story
This is me with two of my favourite mandalas. Both are 80cm and represent two things in life I love - colourful sunsets, and blue skies and greenery of the countryside.
Hi, I'm Mads! I started painting mandalas in June of 2022 as an outlet from my chronic illnesses, of which I've been living with since the age of 12. My art has been completely transformative for me, allowing me to find purpose in each day, to feel productive, and ultimately giving me a renewed sense of self when I needed it most.
Watching the world and your peers moving up in life while you're sitting stagnant can be incredibly difficult to deal with, but thanks to my art I have been able to feel as though I'm somewhat where I need to be. Being able to create gorgeous mandalas, for my customers all over the world and for myself too, is something that I'll never take for granted. I love what I do.
This 80cm custom order came together beautifully, with soft brown beiges, pops of blue and grey, and tiny mirrors to add a reflective effect.
This mandala was experimental! With a rainbow gradient background and the mandala painted entirely in white, it turned out better than I could've expected!
